Hi Bert,

Haven't seen the behavior you speak of, I can edit /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/searchplugins/google.xml without any issues; however, you may need to repeat on updates -- not sure.
Somehow Firefox prevents you from editing search XML's. After they are edited, the plugin gets disabled. So how do you circumvent this weird FF behaviour?

    Cool, thanks for the feedback! You can also use 'sed s/*//' to filter
out pesky asterisks or even grep:

mailq | grep 'email_address' |  grep -o '^[^*]*' | /usr/sbin/postsuper -d -

    This is awesome and just what I needed, thanks.
For reference, my mailq included an asterisk on the end of the mail id;
S3F5GAR445*
So I used the following adaptation of your script;
mailq | grep "email_address" | awk '{ print(substr($1,1,10)); }' | /usr/sbin/postsuper -d -

    Yes it would be nice to have something which allowed you to highlight certain portions of entropy and zoom up on them and out again. I am thinking an applet with 3 windows: top window shows entropy of certain portion (configurable) of disk, middle window shows entropy over entire disk, bottom window shows hex codes of disk portion shown in top window. Clicking anywhere on middle window updates the view in the top and bottom windows.

Maybe I'll get round to it some day

    Hi Tariq,
You opt out by un-installing the extension. Un-installing is one of the actions that you can simply access from the Skype button in the top right corner of the browser.
Once that is done, the Skype setup should NOT install the Firefox extension again by default.

Best regards
Hello Peter,

I was using the "Skype extension for Firefox v2.2.0.102". I can't remember reproducible steps so it is possible I may have opted in by accident; however, the Skype extension in Firefox was disabled and when I upgraded Skype (itself) the Firefox extension was upgraded and enabled -- that's all I know for sure.

Say I have opted in, how do I opt out?

Thanks for taking the time to clarify what should be happening when upgrading.
